Geomorphology Roadshow
The University of Glasgow's Department of Geography and Geomatics offer workshops for pupils that simulate landscape processes using models.
Workshops could cover Glaciers, sand dunes, deltas or beach/spits and last 30-45 minutes. The Department charges travel expenses only.
Geological Map of Scotland (P7)
Run by the National Museums of Scotland during 2000 and 2001 in 120 Scottish primary schools, schools were provided with four resource packs on Rocks, Growing Crystals, Fossils and A Plentiful Earth. After learning how to identify and group rocks, schools collected local rock samples for inclusion in a giant Geology Map of Scotland built in the Royal Museum, Edinburgh.
